How Instagram Impacts Product Discovery

Social platforms are gradually becoming commerce platforms – so there is a big shift from simple content consumption to product discovery.

A Yotpo study of 1,000 shoppers found that Instagram is becoming increasingly important in informing the customer buying journey.

Of the shoppers surveyed, 89% said they have bought something they first discovered on Instagram, and 56% said seeing Instagram photos of a product increases their chances of buying it.
