These eight women inspire and uplift us every single day

We have a lot to celebrate when it comes to Amazing Women in eCommerce 2023. We received 3,700 nominations from across the eCommerce industry in five categories: Rising Star, Leader, Founder, Innovator, and Marketer. And with a $5 donation for every nomination to Girls Inc., we were able to raise $18,500, making this our most successful nomination period to date!

Of the nominations we received, more than 200 were for women at Yotpo — nominated by our partners, customers, and co-workers. We wanted to share some of the nominees because we work with these women every day and think they’re pretty amazing, too. (Just because we’re biased doesn’t mean it’s not true. 😊)

We are in the process of selecting the 2023 AWIE Honorees now and will be announcing them in March, but in the meantime, get to know some of our Amazing Women @ Yotpo.

Marketer: Yaara Nelson, Partner Education and Enablement Manager

Based in: Tel Aviv

Time at Yotpo: Almost 1.5 years

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

My favorite eCommerce brand is Alo Yoga. It’s usually very hard for me to shop for clothes online as I don’t have what is considered a typical body type. Thanks to the reviews and pictures of real users wearing the clothes I can easily understand the different sizes, fits, and the needed support.

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

Know your worth and demand to get what you deserve.

Innovator: Janea Reed, Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist

Based in: NYC

Time at Yotpo: 1.5 years

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

My favorite eCommerce brand is Sakara Life!  I absolutely love their supplements. Their Complete Probiotic and Greens Super Powder have been an essential part of my daily routine, health, and wellness journey!

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

The best professional advice I’ve ever gotten was INVEST in your external AND internal network! I come across so many people at Yotpo daily, who are talented and highly skilled in areas that really interest me. Expanding my contacts has not only helped me in my own day to day work, but has also contributed to my learning and development. Which is no small thing!

Rising Star: Kate Stapley, Customer Success Manager

Based in: Sydney

Time at Yotpo: 1 year

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

Bangn Body. Amazing team with incredible vision; they use their branding to tell a story. They’re driven to succeed and know how to use the resources they need to get results — they show attention to detail in every aspect of their business and product. I love working with them (and shopping on their site!).

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

Accept that your “plan” will change and don’t be afraid to go where the wind blows you. If I didn’t listen to this advice I never would have found my place in the eCommerce space and certainly wouldn’t have landed at Yotpo!

Marketer: Ruthie Berber, Senior Manager, Community & Brand Programs

Based in: NYC

Time at Yotpo: Almost 6.5 years

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

Thrive Causemetics. Aside from being obsessed with the quality of their products (I use their tubing mascara every day), I love how they take a real stand and have social impact, giving back to communities in need and supporting women. It feels like when I buy from them, I’m also contributing or giving back in some way (proceeds-wise, that’s true). I also love their bold turquoise, identifiable packaging.

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

When taking on a completely new role, take the time (even when it feels like you can’t) for deep research and learning — including interviewing others who have succeeded in something similar before, in and outside of the company you work for — to invest in a strong foundation and ensure success. Even when your instinct is to jump into the challenge right away, because you’re motivated, excited, and driven, slow down and take a full inspection of what your gaps are, where you can gain more knowledge or advice, and what steps you can take to best prepare yourself.

Leader: Regan Bolotin, Senior Customer Success Manager

Based in: NYC

Time at Yotpo: Almost 3 years

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

Dime Beauty. Their products are clean, and their packaging is sustainable. Not to mention how versatile their product catalog is, and how delighted I am each time I try a new product. I can’t forget to mention how talented and hardworking their team is, and most of all what a joy they all are to partner with.

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

Don’t ride the highs and lows. Don’t let any one event bring you too low, and on the flip side don’t place too much importance on any one event that results in a high. Try to stay even-keeled, because that balance will help you maintain a sustainable and tenable working headspace. People are attracted to a calm, solutions-oriented energy. So bring that to every scenario!

Marketer: Thais Renzi Bragheroli, Senior Marketing Manager

Based in: London

Time at Yotpo: 3 years

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

Allbirds. Their values are present in every element of their brand — from their materials to their communications, they are true to their identity and that’s why their customers are so loyal and passionate.

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

Work honestly and never stop learning. Write down what you bring to your team and to your community and make sure to remind yourself from time to time, so you don’t lose sight of what you’re working towards.

Rising Star: Emma McNicoll, Sales Development Representative

Based in: Sydney

Time at Yotpo: 7 months

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

THE ICONIC. It’s iconic. It also has great prices, sales, wish lists, stock, same day delivery, and I can always find a discount. And the 110% return credit or 100% refund.

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

You are your own brand, make sure everything you do reflects that.

Leader: Amanda Treese, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Based in: NYC

Time at Yotpo: Almost 2 years

What’s your favorite eCommerce brand?

Raw Wine. I belong to their club, which sends six natural wines thoughtfully selected by a super badass queer female Master of Wine, Isabelle Legeron.

What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever gotten?

Keep asking questions. Ask when you’re curious, ask when you’re not sure, ask to make sure everyone’s on the same page — just ask.
