Join us in celebrating and honoring the women driving our industry forward — read their profiles, get career tips, and find out their top industry predictions.

1,700 nominations later and we’re beyond excited to announce the 19 honorees named as Amazing Women in eCommerce this year.

This project began last year as a grassroots effort at Yotpo. We wanted to recognize the women shaping the future of the eCommerce industry, while raising money for Girls Inc., a global organization devoted to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy.

Colleagues throughout the eCommerce world rallied around the cause, nominating the women who had made a difference in their workplaces and in their careers.

As part of the project, we’ve donated $20,000 to Girls Inc. to empower future generations of business leaders. Reading the stories of the nearly 2,000 nominees led us to realize how much the industry is driven forward by brilliant women.

Do Female Shoppers Prefer Women-Led Brands?

So, it came as no surprise when a consumer survey we commissioned revealed that almost half (49.4%) of female eCommerce shoppers in the US and UK prefer to buy from brands that are founded, led, and/or run by women. Respondents also noted a preference for brands whose ads show women of diverse body types (84.0%) and of a variety of ethnicities (75.3%).

Does Diversity Matter to Female Shoppers?

As female consumers increasingly seek out women-led brands, we’re thrilled to be able to highlight the 2019 group of Amazing Women in eCommerce honorees. The list includes inspiring female leaders, like JuE Wong, CEO of Moroccanoil; Stacey Berman, Head of Commerce at Tory Burch; and Ekta Choprah, VP of Tech & eCommerce at e.l.f. Cosmetics.

They are joined by eCommerce technology innovators, such as Kristyn Levine, VP Strategic Customer Engagement & Customer Success at Salesforce; Angela Johnson, Director of eCommerce Strategy at VaynerMedia; and Dana Testa, Head of Partner Marketing at Magento, an Adobe company.
