Junior DevOps Engineer

You’ll join Yotpo’s Cloud Foundation group. We bring DevOps, FinOps, and Security together under one mission, alongside our DevOps Club: engineers from across R&D who train with us and build with us because they want to. What we’re building is the infrastructure foundation solid enough to power AIDLC, the AI-driven development lifecycle every Yotpo team now ships with — and the agentic infrastructure that lets engineers and AI agents work side by side, safely, at scale. As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be an integral, equal member of the group having the chance to work beside seasoned experts in a friendly and open team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Simplify, Optimize and Modernize company’s infrastructure to support Yotpo’s ever-growing scale, owning tasks from planning through deployment and monitoring.
• Contribute to our agentic infrastructure: the runtimes, tooling, integrations, and guardrails that let AI agents operate safely against our systems.
• We believe in visibility — you will help us put eyes where they are missing, improving monitoring, alerting, and observability.
• Debug applicative and infrastructure issues at scale; take part in resolving and preventing production incidents.
• Automate away toil: pipelines, self-service tooling, cost and reliability improvements for the engineering teams you serve.
• Participate in code and design reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to raise the bar.
• Leverage modern dev tools (AWS, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, AI assistants and agents) thoughtfully — critiquing and iterating rather than accepting output blindly.

Required Skills

• Experience: 0–2 years as a software engineer in Python, Java, Golang, or similar (internships/co-ops count). You love OOP design, design patterns, and clean code.
• Education: BSc in Computer Science — a must.
• Foundations: Working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes, Linux, Git and networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on ability: Strong design and troubleshooting skills — you debug in the terminal, not only in theory.
• Autodidact: You are not afraid to dive deep into new technologies, including AI tooling that changes month to month.
• Mindset: A team player with a strong sense of ownership. We win together: we do what it takes, we figure it out, we help each other — and we win, as a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Certification and/or experience with AWS
• Certification and/or experience with Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform / Terraform Cloud)
• Experience with Helm
• Experience designing and building GitOps CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)
• Experience with the HashiStack (Consul, Vault)
• Experience with CDNs (Akamai, CloudFront)
• Experience with databases (MySQL / MongoDB / Elasticsearch)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus / Grafana / Coralogix / OpenTelemetry)
• Interest in cloud cost efficiency (FinOps) or cloud security — both live inside our group
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or MCP-based integrations — personal projects count
