It was another unforgettable year for Magento Imagine.

The annual event, now in its 8th year, was centered around experience-driven commerce, and filled with inspiring speeches from some of the most respected eCommerce and marketing professionals across the Magento ecosystem.

Here are some highlights from the three-day event:

Yotpo Wins a Magento Partner Award

The Magento Partner Awards recognize technology partners and solution integrators who made significant contributions to the commerce industry in 2018. The winning companies showed exceptional leadership in driving the future of online retail forward through creativity and innovation.

Yotpo, a Magento Premier Partner, was thrilled to win The Core Value Award for the second year in a row. The winner of the award, who was selected this year by Magento’s solution partners, best represents the Adobe core values: Genuine, Exceptional, Innovative, and Involved.

Some Yotpo partners who also took home awards include:

  • BORN Group — The Regional Commerce Partner of the Year Award (North America)
  • Vaimo — The Regional Commerce Partner of the Year Award (EMEA)
  • Atwix — The Community Engineering Award

The State of D2C Marketing Report

Magento and Yotpo co-launched the inaugural State of D2C Marketing Report, a comprehensive dive into the D2C industry. The report uncovers everything from top KPIs to marketing channel prioritization and more, organized by company size and by industry verticals.

Yotpo presented the report in a talk with luxury goods brand Jomashop (a Yotpo customer), breaking down some of the more illuminating data points:

  • The leading priorities for today’s D2C brands are eCommerce sales [60%], customer acquisition [54%], and conversion rates [53%].
  • To fuel customer acquisition, the majority of respondents [52%] are increasing investment in Facebook ads, compared to only 18% investing more in Amazon Ads.
  • 63% of D2C brands see equal or greater ROI from referrals than they do from digital ads, indicating an effective, fixed-cost acquisition channel at a time when social ad costs are steadily climbing.
