Meet the Yotpo Team Behind Amazing Women in eCommerce

In our third year of running the Amazing Women in eCommerce program, we’re thrilled to introduce you to the Yotpo team driving this initiative forward. 


Cristina Dinozo
Sr Director of Brand Marketing

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
I’m so proud to be a founding member! I offer strategic guidance for the growth of the AWIE brand, community, and our experiences.

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
The Amazing Women in eCommerce community is an endless source of personal and professional inspiration. It’s proof that one person, and one vision, can be a force for good and unleash a movement.

It’s true for my Yotpo teammate Talia Shani, who fought to bring AWIE to life. It’s true for AWIE honorees like Lillian Tung (Fur), Sapna Parikh (now at Kendo Brands) and Meghan Stabler (BigCommerce), builders and groundbreakers on so many levels. And the thousands of AWIE nominees from all over the globe who are mothers, sisters, daughters, and leaders who overcame obstacles, invented products, inspired their peers, gave back to their communities, and are just plain boss.

Being part of this community is a daily reminder that we, as women in this exciting industry, are amazing and doing amazing things. And that’s something to celebrate, together.

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
I am the Founder of AWIE!

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
It means getting to meet some really great people at the top of their game. Getting to talk to the amazing women for the interviews, prep calls, and panels is one of my favorite parts of my job — without fail, they are great conversations.

Two of the convos that really stuck with me are…

JuE Wong (2019 honoree) when she was CEO of Moroccan Oil. I was nervous to speak to the CEO of such a big brand, who had this amazing background — I had expected her to be sort of corporate and intimidating. But right off the bat, when I mentioned I was a customer, she wanted to know more about me and how I felt about the brand. This instantly put me at ease, and we had a great talk about the importance of communication and of making yourself available, bringing good people with you as you grow, and honoring your customers as people who are just like you.

More recently, in our July UK panel which featured four really incredible women, Sherene Perrier from Roli blew my mind when she talked about the unlikely similarities of selling skincare products and electronic music devices, even though the products and audiences are vastly different. Her answer has really stuck with me and given me great insight into what Yotpo’s clients do every day.

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
I am the AWIE Program Director and founding member!

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
This community is a safe and empowering space for women working in a male-dominated industry — one where we can grow, learn, inspire, and converse with each other. We’re all about elevating and shining a light on the superstar women that are killing it in eCommerce. It’s an opportunity to highlight the amazing women doing amazing things — and showing other women it’s possible. And most importantly, the community is helping to build the next generation of women business leaders by driving donations to organizations like Girls Inc. and Rosa UK, and showcasing these women as role models. As a woman in eCommerce, I can’t express how much gratitude I feel to be part of this community, building connections with other women, and having the opportunity to learn from industry-leading women I admire.

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
I am the Design Lead for Amazing Women in eCommerce.

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
For me, Amazing Women in eCommerce is a place for all the strong women, operating in a very male-dominated space, to stand out. This community helps to highlight their work and emphasize the achievements of these women who are outstanding and excelling on all levels. They serve as role models for other women in the industry (and outside of it) encouraging others not to give up, to create space for yourself, and to find fulfillment in yourself as a person, as a woman, and in the workplace.

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
I am an illustrator and designer for Amazing Women in eCommerce.

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
It means so much to me — it was actually my first big project at Yotpo. This was our baby from day one and has grown so much over the years. It makes me so proud to think of how far this amazing team and community has come! At the beginning, I remember thinking about the brand graphics, how fluid I wanted them to be, so that each woman who saw them could feel seen and represented. Since then, those graphics and that original idea has grown along with us, and now spreads from the website, to the social assets, brand events, and different projects.

 


Kate Bould

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
I am the Community Lead! I handle all things related to managing and nurturing our amazing community of women.

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
Every new IG follower we get, every event, every phone call, every new email subscriber, every nomination, every new piece of feedback coming from women just like us, gives our team such an immense feeling of joy. This community is full of women actively interested in supporting other women, being mentors, being leaders, and being teachers for the women around them and working under them — and for me, that has always been one of the most inspiring and groundbreaking parts of this community. I always go back to meeting Meghan Stabler, one of my personal icons, at our Honoree luncheon — I was so nervous to meet her and within seconds, she had invited me to sit with her and was giving me the most honest advice and guidance I didn’t even realize I needed. By the end of it, I had tears in my eyes, hugging her, feeling this rare and massive sense of gratitude to be surrounded by women so interested in sharing their experiences, vulnerabilities, and wisdom.

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
Content Lead!

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
Before I was even aware of how many amazing women there were in the wider eCommerce industry, I knew that so many of my bosses, managers, and other people I work with at Yotpo were powerful women. I think it’s so important for our AWIE community to know that it’s not just lip service: the community is 100% women-led. So when we’re creating content, getting speakers for events, and more, we’re able to really think about what the community might want to hear and what would be interesting and beneficial, because we’re genuinely a part of it.

What is your role in Amazing Women in eCommerce?
I spearhead all the events that we run for Amazing Women in eCommerce — online and offline.

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
Since its launch, Amazing Women in eCommerce has been a very special project to me and all of us at Yotpo. I remember the first AWIE breakfast we organized at the IRCE conference in 2019, which sold out in less than a week. The atmosphere at the event was very warm and it was so emotional to see everyone smiling and networking right away — with no facilitation needed. Many of them came to meet us at the conference expo later that day to say thank you and everyone was wearing the AWIE scarves they had gotten at the breakfast. We haven’t seen a response like that to any event we’ve hosted before and it felt right to continue putting these events together to help Amazing Women of our industry connect, share their experiences, and learn from on another.

I am the campaign manager for virtual and offline events.

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
To me, Amazing Women in eCommerce means inclusivity. An inclusive space for women that empowers individuality, intellect, diversity, sexuality, and more, without judgement.

I am the Partnership Lead for Amazing Women in eCommerce.

What does the Amazing Women in eCommerce community mean to you?
Amazing Women in eCommerce is a great opportunity to highlight the changemaking women that are often not heard or recognized in the eCommerce industry. It’s a combination of two of my passions: eCommerce marketing and empowering women. I am so proud to be part of this community and to be a part of the team behind it. It’s a personal mission for me to elevate as many women as possible in my role, whilst inspiring and empowering other women to take chances, speak up, and unleash their amazingness. I love this community and I love the values that drive it forward.

It’s inspiring and validating to hear other women’s experiences and to understand that there are others out there having the same experience as you.
