The main difference between Yotpo and external customer review sites such as Yelp, Tripadvisor, Angie’s list and more is that with Yotpo you own your customer reviews and the value that comes with them, and in the other sites you don’t. You may get reviews, but you are also giving away control of your reputation and that can be tricky. Just as an example, you have no way of protecting yourself against fake reviews and no way of making sure that they are coming from verified customers. Another difference is that with Yotpo, your reviews will increase your SEO, driving more traffic to your brand. If your reviews belong to someone else, you are helping their sites rank higher with your content, instead of your own. So in a nutshell, your review content is extremely valuable and you should be the one getting that value instead of putting your reputation in the hands of someone else.
