Role & Responsibilities
Daily Email Coding
- Code, build and test email communications and push notifications
- Set up, test, QA and launch dynamic content
- Monitor active campaigns daily and quickly troubleshoot to resolve errors
- Design emails and fix issues utilizing HTML/CSS and SFMC developer tools
- Refresh and modernize existing email templates on an ad-hoc basis
- Manage calendar across multiple campaigns to ensure on-time delivery, progression of messaging, etc.
- Execute A/B tests to continuously improve performance across email and push notifications
- Serve as SFMC technical expert to optimize reporting, targeting, acquisition and retention opportunities
Triggers and Automations
- Develop and implement lifecycle marketing campaigns and journeys
- Create and modify automations to improve personalization and further business needs
- Optimize and create automated segments
Email Database Management
- Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvementsManage email database, including merge, purge, dedupe, append, etc
- Work with Data Engineers and vendors to ensure data synchronization with other related databases
- Work with Tech and Data Engineers to ensure data synchronization between internal systems and Salesforce
Project Management
- Provide recommendations during project discovery and planning based on existing infrastructure
- Partner with Business Stakeholders and Technology to establish and define business, technical and functional requirements and estimates during project planning
- Participate in working sessions with peers to review design specifications
- Collaborate with technical consultants in the development and integration of new applications
- Partner with the team to identify opportunities and new ideas for testing, personalizing, or launching new lifecycle campaigns to increase customer engagement and spend
Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of experience coding
- Knowledge of HTML with ability to code emails
- Strong attention to detail, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge/experience in using API services
- Experience with Email Service Providers (ESPs) – Salesforce a bonus
- Excellent project management skills including multi-tasking, prioritization and organization
- Hands-on, “get-it-done,” results-driven and self-starter mentality
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
Working knowledge of CSS
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Litmus or another email rendering tool
- Experience working in an online fashion or retail setting
- Understanding of ecommerce consumer behavior and direct-marketing principles including AB test design and analytics
- Comfortable with ambiguity and creating processes to drive progress
