Shop Avara is looking for a results driven and dedicated individual to play a key role in driving our ecommerce business through the development and implementation of comprehensive life cycle strategies focused on customer engagement, aiming to maximize customer lifetime value, enhance loyalty, improve repeat rate and reduce churn.
Role:
The Retention & Email Marketing Senior Manager will partner closely with ecommerce, creative, and merchandising partners. In this role, you will provide both strategic direction and lead the execution of all retention programs.
The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert with experience across retention marketing programs, with a
particular focus on email and SMS marketing channels – experience in apparel is a nice to have.
In the near term, you would dive into our current email and SMS programs to ensure all aspects are optimized to drive broader business objectives. Longer term, we would look to you to build out a robust retention marketing strategy, including incorporation of new channels and/or programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive email and SMS marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals and objectives utilizing data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- In partnership with VP, lead strategy to achieve engagement and financial goals for all email, SMS and other future-state retention marketing channels.
- Utilize analytics to understand customer needs and preferences, tailoring strategies across email, SMS, onsite and other channels.
- Develop customer segmentation strategies to deliver personalized and targeted communication.
- Concepting, programming, testing and deploying Email and SMS communication.
- Maintenance of the Email and SMS database, deliverability, integrity of the file growth and churn.
- Provide regular reports and insights, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in CRM, personalization, and customer engagement, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Own expansion of CRM channels, leveraging strategic insights & expertise to drive the growth and diversification of retention channels aimed at enhancing customer engagement and lifetime value.
Qualifications:
- Results-driven individual with experience owning retention marketing channels and a particular focus on email and SMS programs.
- Knowledge of email marketing regulations and best practices
- Experience in the consumer space – specific focus on apparel is a plus.
- Experience with A/B testing and optimization techniques
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborative team player able to work with cross-functional partners.
- Balance of analytical and creative individual; you can find creative ways of approaching problems with expertise in customer data analysis and segmentation
- Nimble problem solver able to tackle business strategic questions, develop informed strategies, communicate them effectively, and drive alignment in a fast-paced environment.
- Appetite and capacity to build something new from the ground up, establishing the processes and deliverables from scratch.
- Platform experience with Klaviyo and Shopify
- Comfortable within a high-growth company.
