We have a lot to celebrate when it comes to Amazing Women in eCommerce 2022. We received more than 3,000 nominations from across the eCommerce industry in five categories: Rising Star, Leader, Founder, Innovator, and Marketer. And with a $5 donation for every nomination to Girls Inc., we were able to raise well over $15,000, making this our most successful nomination period to date!

Of the nominations we received, more than 200 were for women at Yotpo — nominated by our partners, customers, and co-workers. We wanted to share some of the nominees because we work with these women every day and think they’re pretty amazing, too. (Just because we’re biased doesn’t mean it’s not true. 😊)

We are in the process of selecting the 2022 AWIE Honorees now and will be announcing them in March, but in the meantime, here are some Amazing Women @ Yotpo.

Marketer: Carmel Zein, Senior Marketing Manager, APAC

What do you do at Yotpo? I head up the marketing for Yotpo in Australia, helping increase awareness of our brand in the market and for our amazing customers.

How long have you worked at Yotpo? I started in August 2021.

What has been your favorite project to work on so far at Yotpo? Bringing AWIE to Australia for sure! We have set up an incredible new community of amazing women here and had our first event in December which was nothing short of inspiring.

Where are you from originally, and where are you based now? I was born in Sydney, Australia. My parents immigrated from Egypt in the 70s and we have been living in Sydney ever since.

What’s an eCommerce brand you admire? THE ICONIC. They are always at the forefront of amazing innovations, and the first to champion same day delivery and address the circular economy through technology integrations. I find their ad campaigns to always be inclusive and diverse too. And a strong second mention to frank body: they have a strong online persona in frank, absolutely nailing their marketing and are constantly supporting positive movements for women.

What do you geek out over? Food recipes. I particularly find plant-based recipes fascinating and I’m never not looking at new ideas on instagram. Secondly, health and wellness. I love exploring ways to stay fit and healthy, from natural remedies to pilates practice — I can read about it for hours!

Leader: Danielle Butera, Sr. Manager, Agency Managed Services

What do you do at Yotpo? I am the Senior Manager of Agency Managed Services, enabling agencies to offer a scalable, recurring revenue stream for the clients via our world-class SMS platform.

How long have you worked at Yotpo? Since March 2021

What has been your favorite project to work on so far at Yotpo? Creating the Managed Services Program. Coming from the agency world, it’s been so rewarding to position that knowledge to now help agencies build a scalable practice and drive ROI for their brands.

Where are you from originally, and where are you based now? I’m originally from outside of Philadelphia in Bucks County, PA. I now split my time between Jersey City, NJ and Northern Kentucky. Whether it’s the city, beach, or country, I always have a place to go!

What’s an eCommerce brand you admire?

  • LoveWellness: Amazing community building and organic social media strategies and their products are amazing!
  • ThredUp: Taking the days of thrift store shopping into the future of eCommerce. Their partnership with larger brands such as Fabletics is a great example of community building and giving back to those in need.
  • Grove Co.: Sustainable products that look amazing and smell great!

What do you geek out over? Home organization, learning new Google Sheets formulas, creating new recipes, and discovering new places.

Leader: Rachel Bernstein, Customer Success for Reviews

What do you do at Yotpo? I am a Manager on our Customer Success Team for Reviews. I am also the current Manager for our new (first ever!) Customer Onboarding Team and helping to build out the team from scratch.

How long have you worked at Yotpo? I started at Yotpo in May 2021.

What has been your favorite project to work on so far at Yotpo? I am currently building out the new Onboarding Team from scratch. It is still ongoing, but has been amazing to work cross-functionally with new folks across Yotpo, learn a new product line, and think critically about how to optimize a process that will so greatly impact our brands and CSM teams globally!

Where are you from originally, and where are you based now? Born and raised in NYC! I am now based in Boerum Hill in Brooklyn. Fun fact: my middle name is Sofi, named after the location of my parents’ first apartment, South of Flatiron.

What’s an eCommerce brand you admire? Glossier! Literally created millennial branding and completely modernized the beauty industry. Great product. Woman founder and CEO. The product is simple and effective with the best packaging. They don’t strive for 1000 products, but instead products that their community wants. Glossier also makes you want to go into a retail store and engage with the product firsthand. Boy Brow forever!

What do you geek out over? This will be a random list, but here you go: metro systems (a good subway/transportation system is fascinating — Medellin has the best one I’ve seen to date), urban design/architecture, an efficient process (those who work with me will understand), and a well-organized space (sparks joy!).

Rising Star: Molly Haley, SDR Manager

What do you do at Yotpo? I am the SDR Manager, managing a team of 7 SDRs in the UK across Mid-market and SMB.

How long have you worked at Yotpo? I started at Yotpo in October 2018.

What has been your favorite project to work on so far at Yotpo? I sourced and was part of the initial conversations with one of our largest global customers, a giant in the home goods space!

Where are you from originally, and where are you based now? I’m originally from near Birmingham, UK but moved to London in October 2018 when I started at Yotpo.

What’s an eCommerce brand you admire? Tala — woman-founded, great branding and product, focused on sustainability, inspiring and successful founder (Grace Beverley)

What do you geek out over? David Attenborough documentaries

Rising Star: Chen Goldwits, Customer Success Manager for UGC

What do you do at Yotpo? I am a Customer Success Manager at Yotpo, managing UGC (Reviews and VMS) for SMB US-based clients.

How long have you worked at Yotpo? I started at Yotpo in April 2020.

What has been your favorite project to work on so far at Yotpo? I was working on an L&D initiative that one of my teammates and I thought of and worked on together for a long time. It was called “Summer Internship,” and it was a great collaboration with other departments for the self-growth of our teammates, and it was very successful and fulfilling to work on!

Where are you from originally, and where are you based now? I am originally from the Hasharon area in Israel, based in the Tel Aviv area nowadays.

What’s an eCommerce brand you admire? Grubbly Farms, one of my first clients at Yotpo, because they are a team of inspirational and awesome women, and such a creative-thinking brand. They always want to explore more and add more innovative ideas and projects to their website! And their website is the sweetest!

What do you geek out over? Office stationery

We’ll be featuring more of our Amazing Women @ Yotpo over the next couple of months. You can find more nomination highlights here.
